Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PeaTrue ("we," "our," or "us") makes original animated short videos. PeaTrue Studio is our private publishing tool: it publishes those videos to social media accounts that we own and operate, one account per language, on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Tumblr, Bluesky and Mastodon.

PeaTrue Studio is not offered to the public and has no sign-ups: its only users are PeaTrue and its own accounts. This policy explains what information the Studio handles when it connects to those platforms, and what information this website collects.

2. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or trackers, and has no forms. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

3. Information the Studio accesses

An account is connected only by its owner, through the platform's official sign-in (OAuth). The Studio then receives:

• an access token (and, where the platform issues one, a refresh token) that lets it act for that account, only within the permissions the owner approves;
• the basic account details needed to publish: the account ID, username and display name.

3.1 Pinterest

On Pinterest the Studio asks for these permissions and uses them only as described:

• user_accounts:read: to confirm which of our accounts is connected;
• boards:read, boards:write: to find, or create once, the board that holds that channel's Pins;
• pins:read, pins:write: to create Pins of our own videos and confirm each one was published.

The Studio never reads followers, messages, other people's Pins or boards, or any personal data of other users, on Pinterest or any other platform.

4. How we use it

Only to publish our own videos, with their titles, descriptions and tags, to our own accounts at the times we schedule, and to record the link of each published post. We do not use any of it for advertising, profiling or analytics about other people, and we do not use it to train AI models.

5. Storage and security

• Access tokens and account details are stored only on our own computer, in a file readable only by its owner. They are never placed on a public server.
• To let a platform fetch a video, the file may be held for a few minutes in private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) behind a link that expires. It is deleted once the post is published, and in all cases within one day.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade or share any information. Information goes only to the platform a post is published on, as part of that post.

7. Retention, deletion and revoking access

Tokens are kept until an account is disconnected from the Studio; disconnecting deletes them. Access can also be revoked at any time from the platform itself, for example:

• Pinterest: Settings → Security and permissions → Apps, then remove the app;
• Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions;
• Facebook and Instagram: Settings → Business integrations;
• X: Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions.

8. Children

Our videos are family-friendly, but neither the Studio nor this website is directed to children, and neither collects information from children.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
